Taliban Abducted Dozens Passengers on Paktia- Kabul Highway

Dozens of passengers were kidnapped by armed Taliban from several cars coming towards Kabul the capital city of Afghanistan security officials said.

Paktia security chief Zalmay Uryakhail has confirmed the incident saying armed Taliban have abducted dozens passengers from sayed Karam district andugam area of Pakita early this morning.

He said,” yet the precise number of the passengers whom were abducted to be clear, there is no information about the destination of the abducted persons.”

The Pakita provincial council member Mohammad Rahman Kabiri said,” about 30 passengers were kidnapped by unknown gunmen and no one claimed the responsibility of the incident.

This comes after that 31 passengers who had been kidnapped by unknown gunmen on the way to Kabul- Kandahar 19 of the passengers were exchanged instead of 26 persons including women and children whom were believed to be the foreigners in Ghazni Province a week ago.

Now the 19 persons are hospitalized and their health conditions are improving in Kabul.

Kidnapping has not been a new war technique to demoralize the enemies in Afghanistan.

Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid in his  twitter has claimed the responsibility,saying 8 of the abducted persons who were working for the Government of Afghanistan and using private cars to go homes were kept a side,the rest 19 abducted persons are being investigated ,if they are not working for the Government of Afghanistan will be released soon.
