Taliban Beheads Provincial Head of Human Rights Commission
Officials said that Taliban militants took away Mr. Amiri with themselves two days ago in Maidan Wardak province.
The victim was on his way from Kabul to Ghor province.
According to local officials, the militants beheaded Mr. Amiri on Thursday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Shaharzad Akbar the Head of Afghanistan’s Independent Human Rights Commission said that the news was extremely shocking.
“The commission in mourning and we are all extremely shocked. We are investigating the details and Afghanistan Independent Human Right Commission will soon release a statement,” Ms. Akbar wrote on Twitter.
The Taliban group has not made a comment about the report yet.
