Taliban cuts power supply cables in Baghlan,as offensive intensified
Officials in Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkit DABS have mentioned that Taliban have cut off power supply cable along a power providing station in Baghlan provinces early Tuesday night.
They have assured the Kabul residents if the security officials permit the DABS workers they will be able to fix and repair the power cables and power providing station within 8 hours,a request which was rejected by the officials in Ministry of defense saying no one will be allowed unless we finish our military operations launched some days ago.
Taliban have brought down a power cable located in Dandi Ghori district of Baghlan province,the following power cable was providing 280 mega watt of electricity from Uzbekistan to Afghanistan and for lighting Kabul city and sounding areas.
Head of publication Da Afghanistan Breshna Shekit Waheedullah Tauhidi said,” if the security officials do allow our workers ,they will be capable to fix the power shortages within 8 hours to extend power to Kabul city,saying this contrary to our National interests.”
Meanwhile Ministry of Defense spokesman Dawlat Waziri said,” we have launched a clearance military operation in Dandi Ghori district of Baghlan Province where Afghan National security forces have had significant achievements, we will continue to our mission unless we clear those areas out of insurgents.”
“We can’t accept this bloody act we never except this from any sides of the war, this is big betray to Afghan Nation specially Kabul residents Rohullah the resident of Kabul said.”
According to Tauhidi since the Kabul electricity was cut off, we have demanded 80 mega watt of power from Tajikistan,75 mega watt generator power,and 80 mega watt electricity has been ensured from Bandi Naghla dam to resolve the current situation.
