Taliban storms Shindand district in west of Afghanistan

Taliban militants have raided over Shindand district in western Herat province of Afghanistan.
On the condition of anonymity, a security source told Ariana News that Taliban attacked over the district governor’s office and police checkpoints and currently heavy clashes continues in the district market between the Afghan forces and insurgents.
According to the source reinforcements have been deployed to drive militants back from the district.
No reports emerged about the details of causalities.
Shindand is among the volatile districts in western Herat where anti-government militant groups are actively operating in a number of its areas.
