Terrorists awakened to escape from Waziristan to Afghanistan: MoI Minister
Terrorists have been awakened to escape from Waziristan agencies of Pakistan to Afghanistan, a senior Afghan official said.
Noorulhaq Ulomi, Interior Minister of Afghanistan called Pakistan military operations the main reason behind terrorists’ offensive attacks in the north of Afghanistan.
“Pakistan clearance operations in North and South Waziristan made the terrorists to escape from these places, they were taken out of these places and send to Afghanistan deliberatively,” MoI minister said.
But he assures that soon Afghan security forces will retake the Yemgan district of Badakhshan from Taliban fighter’s control.
“Today or tomorrow you will be informed about recapture of the district from the control of terrorists”
Ulomi believes that Chechen, Uzbek, Tajik and Taliban terrorist groups are trying to destabilize the security condition in the north of Afghanistan.
“After the international forces pulled out of Afghanistan, terrorists dream to reach China and Middle Asia and loot the treasures in the north, traffic narcotic drugs and make foothold for themselves, but they will fail.”
Recently, Ministry of Interior announced that twelve provinces including Helmand, Kandahar, Zabul, Ghazni and some other eastern provinces in border with Pakistan are under the direct threat of insurgents.
