Three Pakistani police killed in separate attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Three Pakistani police were killed in two separate attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Friday, local media reported.

A deputy superintendent of police (DSP), along with his security guard, was killed in a militant attack targeting a police vehicle in Lakki Marwat city, Geo News reported citing a statement issued by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police.

Another policeman sustained injuries and was shifted to a hospital.

In a separate incident on Friday, a police constable was killed when unidentified armed men opened fire on the post-polio campaign assessment team in Lower South Waziristan district of Khyber Pakntunkhwa province.

The polio monitoring staff escaped unhurt in the firing.
