UNAMA Praises ANSF for not hiring children

The UN special envoy for Afghanistan Yan kubis during a press release has praised the Afghan Security Forces for not hiring children in their ranks.

UNAMA special envoy for Afghanistan Mr. Kubis said,” we are pleased that Afghanistan has performed one the commitments for not hiring children in security reinforcements this indicates the Afghan Government is willing to cooperate UNAMA.”

Afghan Government had committed that will try not to hire children security to reinforce the Afghan security forces three years ago.

Officials in Ministry of Interior Affairs have reported significant achievements for expelling children from the security ranks.

They have said,” the measurements have come after the Afghan Government had committed to United Nations Organization that will not hire children for reinforcement of Afghan Security forces.”

The MOI deputy spokesperson Najibullah Danish said,” fortunately I can say that there is no children or underage persons currently providing security for the Government of Afghanistan and its Nation we have seriously working to resolve the issue.”

Afghanistan is not only one of the countries due to hiring children or underage persons for reinforcement of the security forces in the United Nation Organization list, but also Chad, South Sudan, Somali, Myanmar, Republic of Congo, Yemen countries.
