Afghan Embassy in Islamabad asks students for explanation over ‘insult’
Afghan ambassador to Pakistan, Sardar Ahmad Shakib, in a meeting with some Afghan students, has asked them to provide explanation over the accusations against the embassy and insulting its plaque, which also includes the flag of the Islamic Emirate.
According to the embassy’s statement released Tuesday, some members of the Afghan Students’ Union of the International Islamic University Islamabad said in the meeting that it was an individual act by a student, and they apologize for it.
They emphasized that the union and the students will never support such acts.
The Afghan embassy in Islamabad has not explained the accusations.
Shakib asked the students to share their problems with the relevant authorities or personally with him so that it can be addressed.
