General Commander of NATO and American forces in Afghanistan has said that signing the security agreement between Kabul-Washington is a message to Taliban that they can no longer dominate the situation in Afghanistan.

John Campbell, General Commander of NATO and American forces in an interview with Ariananews emphasized that Afghan security forces with the support of Afghan people have the ability to defeat Taliban.

“There’s nowhere that we have Afghan security forces that the Taliban can get the terrain and hold the terrain,” Campbell said.

“The Taliban may take over a district center or something, but only temporarily. Once the ANSF (Afghan National Security Force) understands that piece of it … they get the terrain back.” He added.

NATO General Commander urged Taliban to respond positively to the request of Afghan government for the peace talks.

After signing the Bilateral Security Agreement (BSA) between Kabul-Washington, many hopes brought to Afghan security forces to improve the situation of the country.
