Pakistan former President, Parwez Musharaf sees Taliban role in Afghanistan and said that Afghan government should share power with Taliban group.

Musharaf declared that if Afghanistan wishes to see peace, it should block Indian’s influence in the country.

Parwez Musharaf told The Wall Street Journal in an interview this week that sharing power with Taliban, Afghanistan would see peace and stability in its country.

“Ashraf Ghani is a balanced man,” he said. “I think he’s a great hope. And Pakistan and India both must stay away, and not to have this kind of a proxy war going on there.”

Pakistan former president at the interview accepted that war between Pakistan and India caused years of wars in Afghanistan.

“The world must realize that we may not like the face of Mullah Omar…but that is how life is, that is what Afghanistan is,” said Mr. Musharraf.

This comes as Afghan officials have repeatedly said Pakistan had never stood by its commitments and do not have any commitments for cooperation in peace talks with Afghanistan.
