At least 3 People Injured In Mazar-e-Sharif Bomb Blast: Officials

At least three people were injured in a bomb blast in Mazar-e-Sharif, the capital city of northern Balkh province of Afghanistan, police said on Sunday.

The explosion occurred on Sunday noon in Mawlana Jalaluddin Muhammad Balkhi street in Mazar-e-Sharif city.

A police official told Ariana News that an explosive device was planted inside a bud vase on a street near the Shrine of Ali and exploded at around noon when a police ranger was crossing the area, injuring three people.

But eyewitnesses has said they have seen two people dead and several others wounded.

Mazar-e-Sharif is the third-largest city of Afghanistan located in the north of the country.
