Education activist Matiullah Wesa released from prison
Matiullah Wesa, a prominent education activist and the founder of Pen Path, was released on Thursday after spending nearly seven months in jail, as confirmed by his brother, Ataullah Wesa.
According to Ataullah Wesa, Matiullah was released on Thursday afternoon.
Matiullah Wesa was arrested in March. His arrest was linked to a series of gatherings he organized to promote girls’ education.
