Haqqani to Mujahideen: Strive for prosperous Afghanistan
In his Eid message, acting Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani asked the Mujahideen, who won the fight against foreign occupation, to now work for the prosperity of the country.
In a video message issued over Eid, the ministry’s spokesman Abdul Matin Qane quoted Haqqani’s message to the Islamic Emirates’ Mujahideen, saying in order to develop the country, there needs to be courage, patience, stamina, stability and sacrifice.
Haqqani instructed the forces of the IEA to avoid “oppression” and to be “humble” towards the people.
He asked the forces to refrain from doing things that cause a gap between the people and the government.
