IEC Congratulates Ghani As President and Abdullah As Chief Executive

After several months efforts the Independent Election commission has released the final results for the second round of the presidential Election.

 

Independent Election Commission Officials have congratulated Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai as the President of Afghanistan and Abdullah Abdullah as the chief executive for the country.

 

Head of IEC Ahmad Usuf Nuristani said, “Though the second round of the presidential Election votes process were implemented under the close supervision and auditing of the International auditors the results wasn’t acceptable for both candidates.”

 

Mr. Nuristani has also thanked those institutions which have been involved in holding the first and second round of the presidential Election process and their supports he also thanked the United Nation Organization ISAF forces for their close technical supports and cooperation.

 

World countries have congratulated Afghanistan for the new leader and once again they have promised that we will not leave Afghanistan alone.

 

This comes after both candidates have signed the agreement on establishing of the National Unity Government on behalf of the President Hamid Karzai in his Presidential palace early today.

 

Its said that the swearing ceremony for the new president of Afghanistan will be held next coming Monday in the country.
