IEDs injure 5 police, 5 civilians in Kandahar – Officials

An explosion injured five police members along with another five civilians in southern Kandahar, Officials.
The blast was heard early on Tuesday morning from Mirwais area of Kandahar City.
Kandahar police Security Chief Rahmatullah Atrafee confirmed the blast saying the blast occurred when police was trying to detonate IEDs discovered and seized by the security forces.
He added, as a result of the blast five police members and five civilians were wounded.
Earlier Kandahar provincial governor spokesman Samim Ekhpelwak has said that the explosion was so powerful which have destroyed houses close to the incident.
