Inami elected as Lower House secretary

Abdul Rauf Inami was elected on Monday session of the Wolesi Jirga as the lower house’s secretary.
Sayeed Ikram and Abdul Rauf Inamai were the two nominees for this position that Inami was elected with receiving 104 votes of confidence by Wolesi Jirga.

Abdul Rouf Ibrahimi, head of Wolesi Jirga said, “Abdul Rauf Inami was elected as the lower house’s secretary with gaining 104 votes of confirmation by Wolesi Jirga.”
But Wolesi Jirga failed to elect the second deputy speaker and the election entered to the third round.
Aref Rahmani, Muhammad Sarwar Fayez, Farhad Azimi and Gholam Farooq Majroh were the four nominees for the second deputy speaker position of the lower house.
It has been scheduled the third round of election for the second deputy speaker of the lower house to be held on Tuesday session of Parliament.
