Joint Business Association of Afghanistan – Kazakhstan Inaugurated
Presidential Special Envoy on Good Governance Ahmad Zai Masoud stated that neighboring countries were attempting to restrain the Afghan economy, however, the National Unity Government would continue to develop solutions to boost economic growth for Afghanistan and the region.
Special Envoy Masoud said, “Pakistan was trying to strengthened its business ties with Kazakhstan and overshadow the economy of Afghanistan; the National Unity Government used the opportunity and established the following association for growing the economy of both countries.”
Meanwhile Afghan businessmen have expressed their optimism, welcoming the decision made by the two Governments to boost economic growth for Afghanistan and Kazakhstan.
Officials from The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry have declared that the Kazakhstan economy is in the third largest within the region. Khanjan Alkozai, the Deputy Head ofthe Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce said, “Business ties will be strengthened; Afghan businessmen are happy and interested to see that the mutual economy grows by establishing of the following association.”
Afghanistan’s primary imports from Kazakhstanare imports constructional materials and food. It is estimated that Afghanistan purchases $ 1 billion dollar goods from Kazakhstan annually.
