A number of Kabul residents during a rally have expressed their supports for Provincial council members to have the rights for monitoring the Governmental departments.

Most of the Kabul provincial council members have said,” Kabul provincial council members should have the rights to monitor the Governmental departments.”

Their rally comes after that lower house of the parliament has decided to reject the rights for Kabul provincial council members to monitor the Governmental offices.

Kabul provincial council member Mohammad Omar said,” we want President to give us our right for monitoring based on the law otherwise we will continue to our demonstration.”

One of the demonstrators has said,” the object for the current rally is to get back the rights of the Kabul provincial council members for monitoring the Governmental offices.”

This comes after that Lower house of the parliament has approved the law for Provincial council within 7 chapters and 41 articles but didn’t approve the rights for monitoring the Governmental departments.
