Kabul urges Beijing to wipe out terrorism from region

On the 60th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties between Afghanistan and China and the launch of the Year of China-Afghanistan Friendly Cooperation program, Kabul expect Beijing to return peace and stability to the region.
The acting minister of Afghanistan foreign ministry urged the countries in the region to recognize terrorism as regional threat and wipe it out from the region.
In a message, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said, “China and Afghanistan have enjoyed traditional friendly relations and Beijing cherishes the two countries’ friendship and commits itself to developing their strategic cooperative partnership.”
Li also voiced his country’s support for Afghanistan’s peaceful reconstruction, saying China is willing to make concerted efforts with the Afghan side to boost Afghanistan’s economic development, improve people’s well-being and maintain long-term stability.
Meanwhile, the chief of executive officer, Abdullah Abdullah is said to consider economic development in the region is not possible without Afghanistan’s security.
Abdullah added Afghans value their profound friendship with the Chinese people.
Around two thousand years ago Chinese were travelling to Afghanistan to see the Buddhas of Bamiyan.
