Magnitude 5.3 earthquake strikes Afghanistan – USGS

An earthquake of magnitude 5.3 struck Afghanistan on Friday, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The quake occurred at 10:09 local time at a depth of 35 km, USGS said.

Its epicentre was 25 kilometres from Nahrin district of Baghlan province in north Afghanistan.
