Massive Car Bomb Attack Foiled in Paktika: NDS

Afghan intelligence agency named NDS reports of foiling a massive car bomb blast in Orgon district of eastern Paktika province.

An insurgent named Qasid son of Gull Abbas was ordered by the Taliban-designated governor Abdullah Bilal to blow a car full of explosives in Orgon, the agency said in a statement on Tuesday.

The statement added the terrorist was from Pakistan’s tribal area of Waziristan and had filled a Mazda vehicle with explosives.

The attacker and the car were under the custody of security agencies, according to statement. The would-be suicide bomber has confessed to his crime.

The NDS officials have said further investigations were being conducted from the detainee.

The massive terrorist planed is neutralized as last month a strong car bombing killed and wounded nearly 150 civilians in Orgon district of the same province.
