NDS seizes 4 suicide vests in E. Afghanistan

The National Directorate of Security (NDS) – Afghanistan’s Intelligence Agency has seized 4 suicide attack vests in eastern Laghman province of Afghanistan.
According to a statement released by the Afghan spy agency on Thursday, a coordinated suicide attack plot by armed-militants was thwarted by Afghan intelligence operatives in Laghman.
According to NDS, the militants were looking to use the explosives to carry out attacks in crowded parts of Mehtarlam city.
Laghman is among the relatively volatile provinces in eastern Afghanistan where anti-government armed militants are active in a number of its remote districts.
