There will be no elections unless the electoral systems reformed. The Chief Executive Office based on the agreement made for the National Unity Government is obliged to form a commission for electoral reforms saying, the upcoming parliamentary elections may be delayed due to their commitments to bring reforms in electoral systems and structure.

The CEO Office Spokesman, Mujib Rahman Rahimi said: “We hope the commission mentioned on the National Unity Government Agreement get formed at the earliest and start working to bring reforms in electoral law and electoral systems.”

It is about one month since the new government formed, but no practical actions have been taken to bring reforms in electoral systems.According to the Constitution and Independent Election Commission timeline the parliamentary election must be held in April, 2015.
