Afghanistan National Security Council (NSC) held a special conference to review the recent incident of Badakhshan province.

After a few days passed since the incident of Badakhshan, where a number of Afghan troops killed by the armed oppositions of the government, members of national Security Council gathered together in a special conference to review the incident.

President’s spokesman noted that members of national Security Council will decide about those who have neglected in the incident.

Ajmal Obaid Abedi, president’s spokesman stressed that the government and people will never forgive those who kill Afghan security forces.

“Badakhshan incident is an exceptional and serious incident for us. Those who cause the Afghan security forces martyr will never be pardoned.” Abedi said.

It has been said that Badakhshan incident occurred due to the neglect of a number of senior commanders who were each separately in soiree parties and were not aware of the attacks on Afghan forces in Jaram district of Badakhshan province.

“The way of war and oppositions threats have been changed. We are alongside with our security forces.” Abedi added.

Badakhshan is one of Afghanistan’s provinces which has always witnessed the activities of armed oppositions. But the recent incident in Jaram district of the province shocked Afghan people.

This comes as with increasing insecurity in the country, Afghanistan still does not have a defense minister and National Unity Government leaders are busy in bargaining to choose a nominee for the defense minister post.
