NUG needs cabinet to use available opportunities: French ambassador

French Ambassador to Kabul, Mr. Jean-Michel Marlaud in an exclusive interview told to Ariananews that the National Unity Government (NUG) needs to have a cabinet to use the available opportunities and delay in announcement of the cabinet causes the country loses opportunities.

Marlaud believes that Pakistan’s Waziristan rebels made Afghanistan an insecure country.

French Ambassador to Kabul is said to consider Daesh presence in Afghanistan a serious threat and said most of the Daesh members in Afghanistan are those Taliban who changed their white flag into black color.

“The international community is committed to continue its assistance to Afghanistan. But we lose opportunities with the lack of Afghan ministers to work on basic plans” French Ambassador to Kabul, Mr. Jean-Michel Marlaud. “I hope Afghanistan can make Taliban satisfied with a having a democratic government and Taliban also say no to terrorism.”

Jean-Michel Marlaud praised NUG’s efforts in bringing peace to the country but emphasized that talks and negotiations with the armed Taliban group should not only be limited on power sharing.

French Ambassador also expressed his deep concerns for the 31 Afghan abductees and added that he hopes the NUG focuses on government’s priority issues.
