Seven players of Afghan National Team quit

Afghanistan Sport tensions now this time reveal in the Afghan National football team.

Seven players of the national team announced they quit after a friendly match versus Kyrgyzstan country.

Islam Amiri, Mujtaba Faiz, Hashmatullah Barikzai, Bilal Arezu, Amruddin Sharifi, Rafiullah Barikzai and Farzad Atayee are the players who say goodbye to Afghanistan National Football Team after posting pronouncement on their Facebook pages.

Islam Amire, captain of National team is said to consider the resignation of these players the symbolic presence of their new coach in the team and the involvement of two other players of the National Team.

In the meantime, Bilal Arezu another Afghan national player said that the decision has been taken without the involvement and irritation of anyone.

Ariananews tried to have the comments of officials and technical staffs of the football federation in Kyrgyzstan. But they refused to comment regarding the issue.

Founded in 1922, The Afghanistan National Football Team  popularly known as the “Afghan Lions” played their first non-FIFA international game against the British India in Kabul, 1941.

Afghanistan, then joined FIFA in 1948 and the AFC in 1954, as one of the founding members.
