MPs accuse Ghani, Abdullah of delay in announcement of cabinet
Wolesi Jirga members on Wednesday accused President Ashraf Ghani and the chief of executive officer of bad consequences in introducing the cabinet.
A number of Wolesi Jirga members are said to consider the continuation of the current government contrary to the constitution.
They said that tensions between the two teams and Pakistan ISI pressure are the main reason that the national unity government failed to introduce the cabinet.
Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi, chairman of Wolesi Jirga said, “Wednesday was the deadline for the government of national unity to introduce the cabinet.”
Some of them added that the unity government’ failure in formation of cabinet is a betrayal for the nation.
Afghanistan Wolesi Jirga has decided to launch a legal discussion about the national unity government functions in the next session.
