NUG aims to create coherent justice system: Ghani

President Muhammad Ashraf Ghani in the 575th anniversary of the international symposium of Amir Ali Shir Nava’i emphasized that the Uzbek and Turkish literatures are as important as Persian and Pashtu language literatures and never to be forgotten.

Ashraf Ghani considers the biggest aim of National Unity Government is creating a justice system.

The 575th anniversary of the international symposium of Amir Ali Shir Nava’i, the ninth-century’s poet and acclaimed writer who has written poetries in Uzbek, Turkish and Persian languages and was one of the unmatched cultural of Afghanistan commemorated in Kabul.

President Ghani has described the functions and character of Amir Ali Shir Nava’i and stated to record a special medal to his name.

“The ninth century was a brilliant period of the literature and culture of Afghanistan and Ali Shir Nava’i had a valuable role in it,” President Ashraf Ghani said.

Amir Ali Shir Nava’i, also known as Nizam-al-Din Ali-Shir Herawi was born in 844 A.H. in Herat and was a Central Asian poet, writer, politician, linguist, mystic, and painter.

 He was the greatest representative of Chagatai (Old Uyghur) literature.

Nava’i believed that the Turkic language was superior to Persian for literary purposes, and defended this belief in his work.

He emphasized his belief in the richness, precision, and malleability of Turkic vocabulary as opposed to Persian.

Because of his distinguished Chagatai language poetry, Nava’i is considered by many throughout the Turkic-speaking world to be the founder of early Turkic literature. Many places and institutions in Central Asia are named after him.

In the meantime, the First Vice President, Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum has assured President Ghani that all Turkic and Uzbeks will stand next to him.

Gen. Dostum has also emphasized on eliminating the distances between the citadel and people; citing the Afghan people will gain victory for reaching to peace.

“We do not accept coercion. We committed in our campaigns that all Turkic and Uzbeks will support the president,” first vice president, Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum said.

Previously, Gen. Dostum has also reaffirmed full support to President Ghani.
