Suraya Paikan denies any corruption charges against her

Deputy minister of the Ministry of Labour,Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled (MoLSAMD), Suraya Paikan claims the reason for her dismissal was the government’s decision.

Suraya Paikan in an interview with Ariananews is said to consider any corruption charges against her baseless.

According to Paikan, the MoLSAMD leadership board decided to introduce new characters and she does not have any information regarding the finance corruption.

“Me, myself decided to resign from my post, the government took its decision and dismissed us. We do not link to any corruption charges,” Suraya Paikan said.

Previously, MoLSAMD deputy administrator has said that Wasel Noor Mahmand, deputy of social affairs, Hesamuddin Hamrah, deputy of work affaris, Suraya Paikan, deputy of Martyrs and disabled and Samimullah Sultani, finance and administrative deputy of the ministry were dismissed two months ago by President Ghani’s order over corruption charges.
