Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry is said to consider President Ghani’s trip to Pakistan valuable in commercial relations.
During president Ghani’s trip to Pakistan, Pakistani Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has promised that Pakistan is ready to remove trade impediments and has agreed to lower tariffs to facilitate trade with Afghanistan.
However, officials in Chamber of Commerce and Industry do not believe in the sincerity of Pakistan which Pakistan fulfill its commitments to Afghanistan.
Head of chamber of commerce and industry, Atiqullah Nasrat said, “We hope Pakistan fulfill its commitments and the commitments should be followed by an expert team”.
At the same time, officials in ministry of commerce said that practical steps should be taken to remove trade impediments and solve trade problems between the two countries.
Earlier, President Ghani in his two-day visit to Pakistan called Pakistan for mutual economic dependence for the purpose of achieving prosperity.
This comes as analysts said that Pakistan is one of the neighboring countries which always interfered in military affairs and created challenges in commercial affairs in Afghanistan.
