Under the MoU, the Austrian company will cooperate in carpet design, marketing and efforts to expand access to international markets, particularly in Europe.
The talks also covered expanding industrial cooperation, establishing a joint industrial park and increasing bilateral trade to $10 billion.
The meeting was attended by Türkiye’s consul general in Balkh, the mayor of Mazar-i-Sharif and the provincial head of foreign affairs.
At two international exhibitions last year, Afghan businesses supported by the programme secured more than $25 million in trade prospects.
Representatives from more than 20 countries are expected to attend, including Russia, India, Türkiye and Japan.
Participants stressed the importance of increasing private sector cooperation and creating new opportunities to boost trade and investment between Afghanistan and Türkiye.
The Iranian delegation is expected to continue consultations with a wide range of Afghan business representatives and private sector stakeholders during its seven-day stay.
The Deputy Governor accepted the invitation and said he plans to travel to Kabul in the coming months at the head of a trade delegation.
