The 6.0-magnitude quake on September 1 killed more than 2,200 people, injured over 3,600, and left thousands homeless in eastern Afghanistan.
Hundreds of houses were demolished in the 6.0-magnitude earthquake that rocked Afghanistan's eastern provinces on Sunday night.
Zabiullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, said that Kunar province bore the heaviest toll, with 800 fatalities and 2,500 people injured.
The German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) meanwhile listed the quake at magnitude 5.0.
