The deputy spokesman of the executive officer says that the main axis of the Afghan delegation talks in United Nations General Assembly will be on security issues, international assistances for the Afghanistan’s economic growth after the year 2015 and concerns over increasing Daesh group threats.

Jawid Faisal, deputy spokesman of the executive officer noted that the Chief of Executive Officer (CEO), Abdullah Abdullah, Salahuddin Rabani, minister of foreign and his political deputy, Hekmat Khalil Karzai will attend the conference up to the next eight days to represent Afghanistan.

“Afghanistan’s security depends on other countries measures and the summit will discuss on major issues of the country to attract the attention of donor countries,” Jawid Faisal, deputy spokesman of CEO said.

Dozens of world leaders are expected to attend the regular session, which begins on September 15 and runs through October 6, to cover an anniversary agenda consisting of 170 items.

The participants will address the promotion of sustained economic growth and development, including the development of international trade and the international financial system.

Participants will also address international strategy for disaster reduction, science and technology development as well as development cooperation with middle-income countries.

On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, the CEO, Abdullah Abdullah will also meet with President Barack Obama.

The deputy spokesman of CEO criticized Pakistan of supporting terrorism, saying the CEO will express every options which helps the stability of Afghanistan.

A number of Afghan military analysts are also said to consider the UN General Assembly the only opportunity for Afghanistan to submit complaints over Pakistan’s interferences in Afghanistan affairs.

“Complaints against Pakistan can make the international community pressures more on the country and end Pakistan’s interferences in Afghanistan affairs,” Jawid Kohestani, military analyst said.

The UN General Assembly, will express strong commitment to the implementation of the Afghanistan Compact and the annexes thereto which provided the framework for the partnership between the Government of Afghanistan and the international community, recognize the urgent need to tackle the challenges in Afghanistan, including terrorist threats, the fight against narcotics, the lack of security, in particular in the south and east, the comprehensive nationwide disbandment of illegal armed groups and the development of Afghan Government institutions, the strengthening of the rule of law, the acceleration of justice sector reform, the promotion of national reconciliation, without prejudice to the fulfillment of the measures introduced by the Security Council in its resolution and other relevant resolutions, and an Afghan-led transitional justice process, the safe and orderly return of Afghan refugees and internally displaced persons, the promotion and protection of human rights and the advancement of economic and social development, and expressing strong support for the central and impartial role that the Secretary-General and his Special Representative continued to play in the consolidation of peace and stability in Afghanistan, called upon the Government of Afghanistan, with the assistance of the international community, to continue to ress the threat to the security and stability of Afghanistan posed by the Taliban, Al-Qaida and other extremist groups as well as by criminal violence.
