Afghan boy burns himself in public cross-road after bullies rape his favorite girl
Firuz, a 23 year old Afghan boy burned himself on Saturday at Pashtunistan cross-road of Kabul City after her favorite girl gang raped by a group of unknown men.
He died at the same day after he burned himself, but he left a letter asking the people to stand firmly against injustice so they do not face with the same situation.
The letter says,” She gets off the Taxi, she walks toward the University while a governmental vehicle kidnaps the girl, she cries a lot but everyone is deaf, they pass through several police checkpoints, police salutes without hearing the girl screaming and finally she goes to comatose and when she gets up a Satan rapes her while she was on her period”.
Firuz loved the girl and they were supposed to be engaged but they failed to make their dreams into realities.
An Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) official Latifa Sultani who is the women’s & children rights program coordinator strongly condemned the incident and said that the government is not caring to these issues; that is why we witness several incidents on daily basis.
Recently violence against women has dramatically increased in all over Afghanistan.
One of the main reasons behind the increment is the government deficiency and lack of the law enforcement over bullies.

U.S. Assistant Secretary of State S. Paul Kapur told a House Foreign Affairs subcommittee on Wednesday that Washington’s review of its Afghanistan policy remains in progress.
He said the process is “inter-agency” and involves multiple departments across the U.S. government, adding that there are “many moving pieces.” Kapur noted that he could not provide a clear timeline for completion but pledged to keep lawmakers informed:
U.S. President Donald Trump has repeatedly criticized the Biden administration’s handling of the 2021 military withdrawal from Afghanistan.
He has also faulted the decision to leave military equipment behind and the abandonment of the Bagram Air Base.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan has appointed 19 new ambassadors and consuls general for its overseas missions.
Among these appointments, Shahbaz Hussain and Awais Ahmad Khan have been named as Pakistan’s consuls general in Kandahar and Mazar-e-Sharif, respectively.
Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, said in a post on X that these appointments were made with the approval of Shahbaz Sharif, the country’s Prime Minister.
Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai says the growth and development of human society in various dimensions require the active role of women and girls, and this is only possible if they have access to education.
Karzai made these remarks on Wednesday on the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, which falls on February 11.
Expressing appreciation for the role of Afghan women and girls in social life, he encouraged them to strive by all possible means to gain access to education and training and to participate in the growth and development of the country.
