The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Supreme Leader Hibatullah Akhundzada met with officials of Samangan province on Monday in Balkh province and emphasized the need to maintain unity among the people.

He said it was imperative that linguistic, ethnic and geographical divisions as well as prejudice be avoided.

He also called on officials to take the implementation of his decrees seriously and to bring the people closer to the Islamic system.

Hibatullah also stated that in no way may “work be left to  unprofessionals”.

“Two classes bring peace and maintain unity, and these two classes are the rulers and the scholars.”

If the scholars are not afraid of speaking the truth and the rulers do not distance themselves from the implementation of the rulings and decrees, the people will always be at ease and will never distance themselves from the government,” he said.

He added that: “The cause of all the misfortunes of the last few decades in Afghanistan has undoubtedly been the differences and the formation of tribal kingdoms, which made the people helpless and displaced and kept them away from the advancements that they were entitled to.”
