Political parties form coalition to fight against terrorism in north
Leaders of Jonbish and Jamiyat parties in northern Afghanistan have formed a coalition to fight against Taliban and Daesh groups.
The change of war geography and the intensification of black and white groups rise have aligned the political parties in the green zone of Afghanistan.
The Jamiyat Islami party stressed that repeated contacts are ongoing between Ata Muhammad Noor, CEO of the party and Gen. Dustom, leader of Jubish Mili for joint combat against terrorism.
“The both visions are based on that the security situation in the north does not become the subject demands of those who want to insecure the north,” Zabillah Fetrat, deputy spokesman of Jamiyat party said.
Fetrat added that joint visions has arisen and further talks are underway for the fight against terrorism.
Meanwhile, the Junbish Mili party links the coalition to tribal leaders that has no ling to political parties’ issues.
In the recent days, the two parties have met with political leaders in several meetings and talked about the joint combat against Taliban and Daesh.
Northern Afghanistan bordering Central Asia mainly includes six provinces of Badakhshan, Takhar, Kunduz, Balkh, Jowzjan, Faryab, and Badghis.
Compared to other provinces, these provinces generally enjoyed higher relative security. However, in recent months there has been an increased insecurity.
It is noteworthy that some foreign groups are involved in the spread of insecurity in northern Afghanistan. In addition, the dissident groups, and some countries in the region make attempts to disturb the security of the areas.
Previously, there were some concerns for insecurity in the South and East of Afghanistan, but it appears that the insecurity is just spreading over northern Afghanistan.
Many Afghan officials believe that armed groups from Central Asia are active only in the border areas; therefore, some Pakistani groups are recently entering the region to create insecurity in these areas.
In this view, Pakistanis consider the northern Afghanistan as the center for opposition against the Taliban thoughts. Even in the past, the Taliban insurgents have suffered the highest number of casualties in these areas, so they try to make this area insecure.

Members of the Afghan diaspora in the United States have joined a widening wave of international condemnation over recent Pakistani military strikes on Afghan territory, as tensions along the disputed Durand Line continue to escalate.
A group of Afghan citizens in Sacramento gathered this week to denounce the attacks, describing them as a violation of sovereignty and a threat to civilian lives. In London, hundreds of demonstrators marched through central streets, chanting slogans against the strikes and calling for urgent international intervention.
Protesters pointed to rising civilian casualties in eastern Afghanistan and warned that repeated shelling along the Durand Line could further destabilize already fragile local communities.
Meanwhile, in Oslo, members of the Afghan community gathered outside the Norwegian Parliament to voice similar concerns. Organizers said a formal resolution was submitted to national authorities, as well as to the United Nations and the International Criminal Court, urging immediate steps to halt the violence and ensure civilian protection.
The demonstrations come amid renewed tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan, where cross-Durand Line clashes and artillery exchanges have periodically flared. Analysts warn that without sustained diplomatic engagement, the situation risks escalating into a broader security crisis with far-reaching regional implications.
