Araghchi expressed deep sorrow over the devastating 6.3-magnitude earthquake that struck parts of northern Afghanistan on Monday, killing at least 27 people and injuring hundreds more.
The statement reaffirmed the Kingdom’s solidarity with Afghanistan during what it described as a “painful tragedy.”
“The people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with our Afghan brothers and sisters in this difficult hour,” the prime minister added.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the move.
The relief supplies are being sent to Afghanistan via the Torkham crossing via five trucks with 40-foot containers.
"India will continue to monitor the ground situation and send more humanitarian aid over the coming days," India’s foreign minister S Jaishankar said on X.
The United Nations said it was “deeply saddened” by the tragedy, with its teams already on the ground providing emergency aid.
