Hundreds of houses were demolished in the 6.0-magnitude earthquake that rocked Afghanistan's eastern provinces on Sunday night.
Currently, a 22-kilometer section of the Kunar-Nuristan highway is under reconstruction, with work said to be about halfway complete.
Villagers say they have repeatedly appealed to the authorities to bring services to their village so that development can take place.
