Farkhunda was buried in Panjsaad Famili area of Kabul on Sunday and her coffined body was accompanied by hundreds of Kabul residents, family members, civil society activist and governmental officials.
Hundreds of women were gathered in the cemetery for the funeral of 27-year-old Farkhunda and her death body was carried by women for the first time in the history of Afghanistan.
Her father says Farkhunda was a preacher herself and when she says to the talisman that they are wrong the mob kills her cruelly.
“Farkhunda went to pray at Shah-Du-Shamshira, then she advises a Mullah who was writing phylactery to stop this job, Mullah accuses her for burning Quran and now he has confessed that he was fooled and lied about Farkhunda to the mob,” Mohammad Nader Farkhunda’s father said.
At her graveside, the head of the interior ministry’s criminal investigation directorate, General Mohammad Zahir, said no evidence had been found to support those allegations.
He added,” we will prosecute the police officers who have neglected on their duties same us ordinary people, we have already started investigating police officers who were on duty, we have suspended the job of the police chief at the related precinct and we will trial all those who have neglected”.
A number of religious scholars who participated in the funeral ceremony condemned her murder.
Norrullah Hamaad a religious scholar said,” According to Holy Quran all those who are involved or even justify this murder will be punished by Allah in the hell.
It has been said that Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has appointed a fact-finding team to investigate closely the case.

China says Afghanistan–Pakistan peace talks show progress
China has positioned itself as a facilitator, aiming to create conditions for dialogue and provide a platform for negotiations.
Negotiations between Afghanistan and Pakistan are making steady progress, China said on Friday, as efforts continue to ease tensions in their most serious conflict since the return of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in 2021.
Speaking at a regular press briefing, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said both sides had welcomed Beijing’s mediation and were willing to resume dialogue. “This is a positive development,” she said, noting that China remains in close communication with both governments.
Beijing— which shares a border with both countries—has stepped up diplomatic engagement in recent months, including calls with foreign ministers and a visit by a special envoy in March. Previous rounds of talks have reportedly taken place in Urumqi, though officials did not confirm the latest venue.
China has positioned itself as a facilitator, aiming to create conditions for dialogue and provide a platform for negotiations. Mao said further details would be released jointly by the three countries “in due course.”
Clashes between Afghan and Pakistani forces since October have killed dozens on both sides, with Afghan civilians bearing the brunt of the violence. Islamabad has accused Kabul of harboring militants responsible for cross-border attacks—an allegation Afghan authorities deny, calling militancy a domestic issue for Pakistan.
The renewed diplomatic push signals cautious optimism that tensions between the neighbors could ease through sustained dialogue under Chinese mediation.
