Russia planning to remove IEA from terrorist list
Russia is considering removing the Islamic Emirate from Moscow’s list of terrorist organizations, but the final decision must be made by the country’s top political leadership.
According to Russian media, the foreign ministry and justice ministry are “working on the issue” of changing the IEA’s status.
The final decision will reportedly be made by the country’s top political leadership.
Earlier, Zamir Kabulov, the Russian president’s special representative for Afghanistan, told Russian media that the IEA had been invited to the Russia-Islamic World forum, which will be held in Kazan from May 14 to 19.
The IEA was recognized in Russia as a terrorist organization in 2003, after it was included in the UN Security Council’s list. Russia has discussed the removal of this status before: in 2020, Kabulov said that this could happen after the UN Security Council made a similar decision.

Afghan authorities warn companies over work visa fraud
Afghanistan’s Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs says it has summoned representatives of travel agencies over allegations of illegally issuing work visas to Turkey and other countries through black market networks.
According to the ministry, company officials were asked to provide written commitments stating that they would no longer collect money from people under the pretext of obtaining work visas and would fully cooperate with authorities in investigating public complaints.
The ministry also warned the companies against engaging in any illegal activities related to overseas employment visas and said action would be taken against violators.
At the same time, citizens were urged not to fall victim to fraud or false promises and to avoid handing over money or personal documents to unauthorized individuals or companies claiming to arrange foreign work visas.
