Local Security Officials will be Trialed for Leaving Stations to Taliban: Kamawal
Northeast Police officials in Afghanistan have declared the reason for Taliban’s proximity to Kunduz province is because some of the local security officials in Kunduz have fled from their stations without firing a bullet.
Simultaneously,the Taliban increased their activities, and Afghan security forces have reacted by engaging the Taliban from both the ground and air in Kunduz province.
Mohammad Issaq, the Deputy Commander of the Afghan Air forces said, “Afghan air forces are working day and night to provide air supports for Afghan security forces on the ground.”
The Taliban have increased their activities in Kunduz province, as well as the number of fighters within the vicinity of Kunduz City.
According to the statements of the local police officials, some of the police officials in Kunduz deserted their posts without firing a shot, leaving their stations to the Taliban.
Commander of the Spinzar 808 Corp Sher Aziz Kamawal said, “Those security officials have left their stations for Taliban without fighting [or] defending, will be questioned and executed, efforts are underway to retake those areas where we have lost its control, and this our priority plan.”
Ministry of Defense Deputy Chief of Staff Gen, Murad Ali Murad said, “Afghan security forces should clear out of those irresponsible armed men pretending fighting against Taliban, stating that their influence has caused that the Afghan security forces to leave their stations for Taliban.”
Meanwhile the Governor of Takharprovince expressed concerns over the deteriorating security of Kunduz, saying Taliban are the serious threats for Kunduz and Takhar provinces.
Takhar Governor Dr. Yasin Zai said, “We could retake one district by having 50 police forces.”
During two weeks of war in Kunduz, no information was released into the media indicating the number of the causalities of the Afghan security forces, but according to statements of the local police officials, dozens of Taliban fighters were killed.

7 killed, 13 injured in shooting by unidentified gunmen in Herat
Seven people were killed and 13 injured in a shooting by unidentified armed men in Herat province, said Interior Ministry spokesperson Abdul Mateen Qani.
Qani added that after midday on Friday, unidentified gunmen on motorcycles opened fire on a group of civilians who had gathered for recreation near a picnic area in Qabarzon village, Injil district of Herat province.
According to Qani, initial information indicates that 7 people were killed and 13 others wounded in the attack. The condition of some of the injured is reported to be critical.

According to Defense Ministry spokesperson Enayatullah Khwarazmi, the meeting covered bilateral relations, political engagement, and evolving regional developments. Both sides discussed ways to enhance coordination on shared concerns, particularly maintaining stability and preventing cross-border security threats.
